Spicy Broccoli is one of my favorites! I used to work right next to a Sweetgreen and quickly became so addicted to their salads! For those who are not familiar with Sweetgreen, they are a casual restaurant chain known for their amazing fresh and healthy salads. With delicious and unique combinations of fresh flavors.
Since I am no longer working there anymore, I decided to try and recreate their Spicy Broccoli on the grill. It is something that I really miss and crave! I am happy to say that it turned out amazing and tasted just like Sweetgreen's! I love to be able to come up with a vegetable recipe that I can grill right next to my meat entree. It makes cleanup a breeze with less pots and pans! And who doesn't love that?
Spicy Grilled Broccoli
Ingredients:
1 large head of broccoli
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 to 1 tsp Sriracha, depending on how spicy you want it
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 to 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, depending on how spicy you want it
Chop off the broccoli florets into small pieces.
Place the broccoli in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients.
Give a good toss to make sure that all of the broccoli is covered well.
Fire up the grill and grill on a grill pan or a piece of foil.
Make sure that you keep an eye on the broccoli and turn it frequently.
You can tell that the Spicy Broccoli will be done when it gets a good crispy char on it.
So delicious! I highly recommend trying broccoli cooked like this! It really brings out such a great unique flavor!
And if you have any leftovers, here is my very favorite Sweetgreen Copycat Chicken Pesto Parm Salad Bowl...
Chicken Pesto Parm Salad Bowl - Sweetgreen Copycat Recipe:
This salad is delicious served cold...
Or my favorite way to eat it is by microwaving it for two minutes. I know it sounds weird but it is amazing! The spinach and tomatoes cook and melt together with the Parmesan cheese. It is incredible this way!!
Now I am really craving my favorite Sweetgreen salad!! I hope that you enjoy these recipes as much as I do!
