Slow Cooker Pulled Roast Beef Sandwiches
Ingredients:
1 Chuck roast
Garlic Powder
Kosher Salt
Fresh cracked pepper
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
1 bottle or can of beer (any type works great)
Hoagie rolls, sliced
Provolone cheese
Optional: Horseradish
Sprinkle all sides of the roast with garlic powder and lots of fresh cracked pepper.
Add the seasoned chuck roast to your slow cooker.
In a bowl combine the bottle of beer with the onion soup mix and stir until combined.
Pour the onion soup and beer mixture over the roast.
Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
When the 8 hours are up, carefully take the roast out of the slow cooker and place it on a plate.
Shred the roast with two forks and remove any large pieces of beef fat, if there are any.
Put the shredded roast back into the slow cooker and keep on the warm setting until you are ready to serve. Taste and see if you need to add any salt.
Serve on hoagie rolls with Provolone cheese and a bit of horseradish if you like a little bit of heat with your roast beef sandwich.
Such a delicious combination of flavors!
You will not believe how delicious this chuck roast is, cooked all day in the slow cooker. The Au jus is just incredible! And I love the way that the Provolone cheese melts into the hot roast beef and horseradish. You will love it too!
