I know you all know about "pork chops and applesauce". Buy have you ever had pork chops with peaches?! The two flavors go together perfectly! And this is another way that I use my homemade peach jam! The heat of the grill carmelizes the jam and makes it the perfect basting sauce for seasoned, grilled pork chops! This is such a quick and easy dinner that everyone loves!
Grilled Peach Pork Chops
Ingredients:
Pork Chops, 1 inch thick
Garlic Powder
Kosher Salt
Pepper
Peach jam, recipe below(store bought is great too)
Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Light up your grill.
Put peach jam onto one side of your pork chops.
When the grill is nice and hot, place the peach jam covered side of the pork chop face down on the grill.
Baste the top side of the pork chop with peach jam while the other side is grilling.
Flip the pork chop in about 4 to 6 minutes and continue to baste with the peach jam.
Keep flipping and basting until the internal temperature is 150 degrees. A 1 inch pork chop usually takes 8 to 12 minutes on the grill.
Take the pork chop off of the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes so that it stays nice and juicy.
If desired, spoon on some fresh peach jam when serving (please make sure that it is not the same jam that you used for basting). Enjoy!
